No you need do nothing on pCP

The Flirc imitates a keyboard

I usually test my Flirc by (on windows) opening a txt document and check
the Flirc moves the cursor with the remote button presses
Remember you need to have text (and lines) to move left/right Up/down in
a txt doc.
