Thanks for the hint huxmut, I should be able to take it from there. I found the image file: vu_analog_25seq_w.png at /opt/jivelite/share/jive/applets/JogglerSkin/images/UNOFFICIAL/VUMeter which is series collage view of the base image 350 x 400 px with the meter needle at progressively higher values: 25885 I can't find the exact font but have a near equivalent and I will have to reduce the wording to "RCA Stereo Console" to fit into the space with appropriate px value. The VU meter program must be quite clever to pick out the correct portion of the image to display on each channel at the correct time.
