Just thinking out loud here! Could be wrong, usually am. :)
If you are going to add a third partition make sure your second partition is adequate for your future needs. Plan for a backup strategy. Think about how you do a full pCP upgrade of the SD card if an instu update fails. I feel commands like [Resize FS] would clobber the third partition. I am not use if we have included safeguards for user modified partition schemes.
