Roland0, I tried your cava version tonight and while it worked, it's not quite the same as the alsa loopback, especially when you press pause and no audio is playing. With alsa loopback method, the bars would immediately drop to zero. The shmem method, when paused, the bars would freeze at the levels they were at for a second or two and then start to grow taller even though no audio was playing.
