I get that, and for me this is all just a bit of fun rather than a pressing need. But it does seem that, unlike the 'primary' Squeezelite instance, the Bluetooth setup is an area where a quick ad-hoc setup could be useful, since Bluetooth devices come and go, and people may have have multiple Bluetooth devices to switch between (stand-alone speakers, headphones). I experimented a bit more, and I found that I could setup my full-time DAC as the primary output, with nothing in the 'Tweaks' command lines, and then by manually running /cgi-bin/bluetooth.cgi I could scan/pair/connect a Bluetooth device, then use SSH to issue a Squeezelite command (sudo /usr/local/bin/squeezelite -n Bluetooth -o BTSpeaker -a 80:::0 -m b8:........) to create a player called Bluetooth. And my RPi 3B+ seems quite happy to simultaneously run different playlists through the paired device and the main DAC, at the same time as hosting LMS. So it seems like there's an opportunity for a new feature in pCP 5.0.0, where the Bluetooth setup moves to its own tab, and controls a second instance of Squeezelite, completely separate from whatever is configured on the main Squeezelite tab. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109404 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
