Take a look a the gpio-shutdown and gpio-poweroff overlays. There is an extra kernel module that needs loaded, but it's working rather well.
It will be integrated into the next pCP. But I believe you can also setup the poweroff to work by just driving GPIO3 low, and then automatically restart by driving it high. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.
