During development of products like pCP things do go astray leaving the RPi not connected to the network. The only option is a keyboard and monitor to diagnose the problem. A few months ago I played around with silent booting. I spent way to much time and didn't get a complete result, but it resulted in pCP5.0.0 [Bootcodes] page being updated to allow adding console and logo.nologo bootcodes. The noautologin bootcode will probably added sometime after pCP5.0.0. It's not practical to distribute additional boot files. There is already 4 of these files, 2 for the normal release and 2 for the experimental release. TinyCore/piCore is about being small, adding 10MB per distribution will not happen. You will need to write a script to recreate these files with your new inittab.
