There should be more extensions downloaded with Samba.   Are you sure
you rebooted after removing samba?  piCore is a little unique, when you
remove an extension, it physically doesn't get removed until you reboot.
I would remove it one more time, reboot, then re-install

You have probably upgraded several times, and your partitions do not
have the proper markings on them for the resize to identify.  We did
this as several were using non standard card layouts, and we wanted to
avoid breaking them.  Just manually resize it again.   On the other
hand, that is plenty of space for Samba, I think its about 20MB
