Of I don't, debian sees the owner as root. The way I see it, uid/gid tells debian how to handle rights on its side, while username/password is for NAS access.
If i don't put uid/gid, then lms cannot access the folder at all unless i put the NAS folder public, abd even then read rights don't work. Even if it is technically logged to his username on the NAS.
