Yes it will, however you could end up with the stream being resampled
twice, once by squeezelite and again by alsa.

With debian 7 (wheezy) on the pogoplug, you need the last parameter set
to 0 to disable the use of mmap which is the cause of the crackling on
them.  My dockstar, which uses the same kirkwood SOC, is the same.  This
is no longer an issue with the newer linux kernels included with later
debian versions.
