Linux doesn't have a nice graphical scp tool that I've found. If you
have wine installed, you can use winscp. But for a single file,
commandline works just fine.

In my case, my lms server is installed in /opt on my linux box, and I
just made a test file to not copy anything of importance.

Code:
--------------------

  paul@Devel:/opt/slimserver/prefs$ scp test.xml
[email protected]:/usr/local/slimserver/prefs
  [email protected]'s password:
  test.xml
                  100% 0 0.0KB/s 00:00
