Not sure what you're suggesting, can/should I turn the Rpi into a router and install Squeezelite on it? What about the touchscreen, I can't imagine that it's easy to get it to work on an openwrt image? Also about the security, yes of course you're right. What about using openVPN which in turn connects to home server? Maybe it's much better to use a "regular" Rpi image? Honestly have no idea, just bouncing ideas trying to find what's feasible with a PcP/Rpi.
