Hi mooblie, The scripts from Waveshare (and the various OEM versions) assume you are using a full linux, running a GUI and are using bash shell. They also just overwrite setup files. >From memory (dangerous) they also use x windows tools to setup the touch screen rather than the CLI versions of the command.
