Hi,
This is my first post to the forum but I've been reading for years. Here is my problem. I've had a setup with multiple picoreplayers for a long time. I've used Hifiberry boards and connected to active speakers. Works well. I've had one of the players residing outdoors and used Wifi to connect. All the time I have been thinking that it would be more convenient to use the Bluetooth interface of the speaker and keep the player indoors. So, I got myself a new Pi (a 4 since the store sold them cheaper than the old 3), installed picoreplayer and after some trial and error finally got it to start pairing with the speaker, an Ultimate Ears Megaboom. However, it connects and then disconnects. The log talks about it being a speaker rather than a Player/Streamer (UE MEGABOOM connected in Speaker mode, but we are expecting it to be a Player/Streamer.) I then borrowed another speaker from my son, this time a UE Wonderboom (a newer and smaller member of the UE boom family) and that worked so I'm assuming that I've managed to set things up as intended. But the Megaboom keeps complaining. I had a look in the python code, and, without really knowing anything about Bluetooth, I get the impression that the speaker is telling something that does not match with expectations. Any help is appreciated.
