Thanks for the reply, Greg. No, this is (unfortunately) NOT the official Pi screen. It's the screen causing calibration problems in pCP/Jivelite in this thread: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?112266-piCorePlayer-6-0-0-and-Waveshare-Touchscreens - which I think has been established in NOT a Waveshare screen, but a "Jun_Electronic" from here: https://www.amazon.co.uk//dp/B07YJDSCKR It's not displaying upside down, nor showing polarisation/angle of view issues in other respects. It works perfectly out of the box (including touch calibration) with Raspbian (and Windows) - a shame I'm having trouble with pCP/Jivelite.
