I'd like to help, but I'm on Windows. If I had your issue I'd terminate all Squeezebox-related processes: squeezesvr, scanner, squeeze*. I'd also clear all Squeezebox-related cache.
Restart Squeezebox in safe mode. I'm not sure how this is done in linux. Try adding --failsafe or -failsafe to command line.
