Hi Man in a van, sorry for the delayed response family Long story short: It was the cable. It feels a bit embarrasing but after re-reading all posts in this thread I figured the usb-connection was the one variable I hadn't looked into and voilà the Sanskrit was recognized. Output settings are now "hw:CARD=AUDIO,DEV=0". Btw: Hot-Plugging is no problem with the Sanskrit, nor is power feeding the DAC by the RPi. There is no issue whatsoever. On a side note: You wouldn't believe what was aired on ByteFM and hit my ears when I finally got everything working :) 31977 Thanks again for your support!
