I’m about to send a pi to a friend in a significantly different timezone
who isn’t very IT literate. Remote support is going to be tricky.
The pi is going to run on WiFi but is going to act as a stand-alone
player & server.
I can pre-prepare the WiFi connection with wpa_supplicant but what I
can’t do in advance is reserve an IP on his router and I’m not sure he
even knows the admin credentials.
This led me to wonder has there been any work in setting up mDNS on
piCorePlayer? I know there are drawbacks but there are also upsides.
