As you know, I know nothing about Linux, but I did a bit of reading on Busybox and ps and thought about my set up. I had tried the Update Full on squeezelite and that didn't work. I then looked at my CPU Isolation on the tweaks page. I had set my CPU Isolation to 0,3. I removed that entry and it booted cleanly. No idea what any of that means, but I hope this helps narrow it down for you. I tested it a few times and it is repeatable.
