Well you can install LMS on most linux or BSD systems.
I think it's quite easy on debian-based systems because there is a deb package you can download. So it's one line to type in the terminal to install. I have seen quite a few blog/forum posts relating to install on FreeBSD - typically within a jail for isolation. But that requires some skills. These days, many people use docker and there are containers available with LMS. Again, this requires a bit of knowledge. It also depends on what is your planned use of the Optiplex machine. That could be a server/NAS, a desktop computer or a multimedia machine connected to a home-cinema etc. Depending on what you want, there will be different options... you need to provide a few more details about your intended setup. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ truscellino's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69928 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113467 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
