I am working with a fresh pCP 7.0.0 image installed on a new RPi3+.
Bluetooth extensions were installed automatically from the bluetooth
page and seem to be running fine (i.e., three green checks for the BT
Controller, BT Speaker Daemon, and BT Pairing Daemon).
I have successfully paired two different bluetooth speaker devices to
the pCP (as "speaker" type devices), and the devices show up as expected
as players on my remote LMS 8.2 server. Unfortunately, I am unable to
get any sound (beyond occasional crackles) out of either of the
bluetooth devices that have been connected to the pCP. Everything on
the server side looks normal in the sense that a music track appears to
be playing to the bluetooth player, and the progress bar for the track
moves along normally. All of my five other pCPs--which are all
hardwired to their speakers--are currently working fine on this server.
Here is the output info for the squeezelite processes on this pCP
device. (I haven't modified the default "analog" process that is
running on this device, although stopping and starting the squeezelite
process for the analog device seems to make no difference.)
Code:
--------------------
/usr/local/bin/squeezelite -n piCorePlayer -o hw:CARD=Headphones -a -C
5
/usr/local/bin/squeezelite -o bt_SB_Outdoor -n SB Outdoor -m XX XX XX XX XX
XX -a 80 1 -M SqueezeLiteBT -f /dev/null
--------------------
The RPi3+ is connected to the network by wifi (5G according to my
router), although I have also tried connecting with an ethernet cable,
and it seems to make no difference.
I can connect the bluetooth speaker to my phone and stream music
normally, so I don't think there is anything wrong with the speaker
itself. I have also played music from this speaker via bluetooth on an
earlier version of pCP, although I have tried so many versions at this
point I can't remember exactly which one (or ones) seemed to work.
Any ideas from the pCP gurus? Are there any squeezelite options I
should try, and if so, how do I modify the sqeezelite process settings
for the bluetooth device? (I don't think I can do that from the web
setting pages.) Any other suggestions on how to get this to work?
