As an answer to your question I can now provide this; Ok so I finally managed to get the plugins that are essential for me installed and seemingly working in 8.1. (wrote "--seemingly--" since I can't really tell how well it all work since I don't have time to test that much. Been running and fiddling with them a little bit for 5-6 days now without any problem though.I guess time will tell) But it was as I earlier thought a PITA. For anyone else reading /seeking info this is what I did; First : this is the plugins of Erland's I'm talking about; Custom browse, Custom clock helper, Custom scan, Dynamic playlist, SQL playlist, Trackstat and the issue was that after the upgrade from 7.9.2 to 8.1 which I foolishly did LMS seemingly was running but the web GUI was not available. 1; removed all the mentioned plugins from /usr/local/slimserver/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins 2; rebooted and LMS including GUI was running fine. 3; placed the plugins one by one in the above folder 'til I had the same problem again ... hmm ... :-/ :-( was then ready to give up but then I noticed on the "information" tab in the GUI that there was three different folders mentioned as seemingly possible plugin foilder. So I thuoght "let's try another one" ...voila! :-) after placing Dynamic playlist and SQL playlist in /usr/local/slimserver/Cache/Plugins instead of /usr/local/slimserver/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins LMS started up with the GUI working and ALL of the plugins seemingly working as expected. Also ; don't forget to do a backup in the PcP GUI after you do changes with the folders otherwise they will disappear after reboot. Great! Happy New Year! :-) hope we alll get a better 2021! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ doggod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46431 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111787 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
