So after some further investigation I have 'discovered' the following:
RPI 2 B, 32-bit build, physical wired connection, LMS 8.1 (switched back to stable on recommendations here). IQaudiO DAC+ Shairport-Sync will remain stable and available IF you start with version 4.0 or 4.1 of piCorePlayer, increase your FS size, and do in-place upgrades version by version - 4.1-> 5.0 -> 6.0 -> 6.1 -> 7.0. It will remain available on any of these versions provided you start with 4.0 or 4.1. A 'clean' install using the dd method with any piCorePlayer build newer than 4.1 results in the AirPlay target dropping off of iDevices after 10-15 minutes. Restarting Shairport-Sync or rebooting will bring it back, but again, only for a short time. norton wrote: > Greetings piCorePlayer folks > > Been using piCorePlayer since 3.5 - and noticed with my clean upgrade to > 7.0 (nice work on the interface BTW) that SharePort-Sync is no longer > persistent. > When the Pi or Squeezelite is restarted the AirPlay target appears, but > after about 10-15 minutes, it's gone from my iDevices. > > RPI 2 B, 32-bit build, wired connection, LMS 8.2 > > After some more investigation, it turns out the newest version of > PiCorePlayer I can get a persistent AirPlay target on is version 4.1.2. > Just posting here in case I may be doing something silly and someone > else had resolved it. > I do have a 3B+ (piCorePlayer 4.0) and a Apple Airport express v2 also > being served by the same LMS. > > Thanks, > norton ------------------------------------------------------------------------ norton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71153 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113512 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
