If it works fine then there's probably no improvement to be made.

I have the same setup and the rip is more than capable of running LMS

It's unlikely to do anything for you unless you are running several
other things on our rpi.

I'd suggest installing and running e.g. htop on the system and keeping
an eye on it while it serves music and runs a scan.
That will tell you if there is high load or contention for the cpu.

In order to increase the server priority:
Settings > Advanced > Performance (in the drop-down list) > Server
Priority

To "dedicate" it to a CPU is referred to as setting processor affinity.
You can use the taskset command to do this. e.g.
