Working now, by sheer luck (fairly noob here). :D While googling, I stumbled on 'this' (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/32018-permission-denied-w-synology-docker/&tab=comments#comment-307843) thread. So I figured I'd try playing with permissions. SSHing into my Syno, I found the ID of my admin account (which has a different user name for security reasons) is 1026. So I changed the environment variable PUID from 99 to 1026 and lo and behold LMS can see the mapped music and playlist folders now. It is currently busy scanning the library. The /config mapping also works now. I have no idea whether what I did is kosher or not, but it seems to work
