As a wired pCP user, I tried enabling and configuring the Wi-Fi connection just now. All worked perfectly straight away, and it took me no longer than 30 seconds to configure.
Simply enable Wi-Fi, then I entered the SSID, the password, the country code. Then Main Page -> Shutdown, remove the network cable, then restart the Pi. All tickety boo.
