Hi, I'm in the heart of Europe: Austria. What I did is this: I grabbed another Laptop (Ubuntu based, again) and tried to access pCP, and - surprise - it worked. I remember while trying to get this thing running I (when using ssh command) encountered a warning that looked like this: @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY! Someone could be eavesdropping on you right now (man-in-the-middle attack)! It is also possible that a host key has just been changed. The fingerprint for the RSA key sent by the remote host is 51:82:00:1c:7e:6f:ac:ac:de:f1:53:08:1c:7d:55:68. Please contact your system administrator. Add correct host key in /Users/isaacalves/.ssh/known_hosts to get rid of this message. Offending RSA key in /Users/isaacalves/.ssh/known_hosts:12 RSA host key for 104.131.16.158 has changed and you have requested strict checking. Host key verification failed. I didn't even know what stupid action of mine caused this warning! Maybe you can tell? And what to do if the warning shows up again!? Not knowing what to do I googled this command to get rid of the message: ssh-keygen -R "you server hostname or ip" I assume using this command may be responsible for the network problem. In the meantime I transferred my music library from the NAS to the BOSS2's attached SSD and have it scanned by LMS super fast. The speed of the new system is astounding. I'd like to say a big thank you for your help. -Elmar ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Elmar.F's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71739 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114532 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
