I have done a bit of testing and I think the problem is with brackets in the share name.
The pCP GUI doesn't seem to accept the input of brackets and if you add the brackets manually in the configuration file it breaks the LMS web page. When I rebooted at this stage, the whole GUI refused to start. Without the brackets everything worked as expected. Scanning the LMS library took a little under twice as long which was surprisingly good I thought.
