After I posted the plea for help I realised I was being a wimp, so I went the the Tiny website and read the docs. It wasn't in all honestly that hard to create an extension for the dongle I had (a Ugreen BT5.0 stick based on the RTL8761b chip) and it's working fine right now after following the rest of your guide. If there's any general interest I'll upload the .tcz file and installation instructions.
