Do you have a third party video card in your machine? They have caused a lot
of headaches installing OS X on unsupported machines. I have an XLR8 G3 as
well, and a WD ATA drive, so I don't think either of those 2 items is the
problem. I have no idea on the TurboMax card though. I'm using the Sonnet
Tempo, which works just fine.
