World of pain. Don't go there. Apparently there are loads of invisible 
links internal to OSX which will break if you just copy in a 
conventional way. Go to version tracker and search for "Carbon Copy 
Cloner". It works a treat and the developer is a nice guy who will 
respond to any feedback.
