I used CCC to copy an installation from a FireWire external disk to an 
iBook internal drive and the 'book booted perfectly.  I haven't tried it 
  on my old-world machine becase the cheap sw with the firewire case 
either doesn't like PCI firewire cards or doesn't like old world 
machines for some reason.

2.) Can someone explain what are the "benefits" of

L2CacheConfig is a way to get the cache on your upgrade card to work in 
OSX.  The L2 cache is one of the reasons a G3/G4 is more than 
clock-speed faster than a 604.
