No such animal as far as I know. It's a sticky thing since X only scans 
and loads SCSI device information when it checks and mounts volumes at 
boot up. There might be a way like a dynamic SCSI driver similar to 
FireWire or USB but I wouldn't hold my breath. If you have a FireWire or 
USB card then you can pick up a bridge dongle (can be expensive) for the 
drive and take advantage of plug'n'play.
