I managed to get X installed and running on an 8600
with a G3 on a MPe carrier, Ati XclaimVR 128, Siig Usb
card, and a Acard/66 with a 30gig Ibm and 60gig
Maxtor.

I got my Biege machine back so I yanked the cards and
drives and installed them in the Biege machine. Its a
Biege MT with a OWC G4, Rev.D rom, 512megs ram, and
Raytheon VRM. After I installed the Ati 128 card, Usb,
and the Acard and drives, the MT won't boot into X. It
won't install either. When I hit install on the 10.1
cd it just sits at the choosing startup disk before it
restarts to install. It will boot into 9.2.2 and work
perfectly.

The drives are set to master on their own channels on
the Acard and the partition I'm trying to install X
onto is partition 1 on the 30 gig Ibm drive.
Partition 1 is 7.6gigs in size and partition 2 is
whatever space is left over on that drive.

I also tried to install X on the Biege by using
Xpostfacto, but it wasn't able to write to Nvram on
that machine. I also tried installing the internal Ide
6gig hard drive and installing on that, but X wouldn't
install to it. The working X installation is still on
partition 1 on the Ibm, but the Biege won't boot from
it. I tried reblessing the X folder and that didn't
help.

What happens when I try to boot into X so far is that
it sounds like its going to boot, then the monitor
shuts off and the Biege sits there in silence. I do
get the chime though. It doesn't make to switchover to
the spinning cd icon and blue screen.
