Hi Simon,

Sounds familiar, I have a 9500 Newer G3 300 384Mb RAM, Sonnet IDE CARD etc running
10.1.5 and originally using an ixMicro Ultimate Rez (Twin Turbo Card).

As you say performance was appalling. The solution to the problem is I'm afraid to
ditch the TwinTurbo card and replace it with a card that is fully supported by OS X. I
found an ATI Rage 128 Pro 16Mb from a B&W G3 on ebay. This card works well and has
full hardware acceleration under OS X 10.1.x.

Expect to pay in the region of 45 for one of these card, they are hard to find
though. If you are interested I have just upgraded my B&W with a Radeon 7000 and have
the old ATI Rage 128 for sale.

Regards

Simon

Dear list,

I'm sure this has been covered but...

I have an old 7500 running 10.1.5 without a hitch except for the incredibly slow
graphics provided by an old 8bm "twin turbo" card.

The screen redraw is painfully slow.

Is there any way I can improve this, short of buying a better card? A new card is just
not worth it I would have thought...

*Is it* the fault of the card? The box has a formac 400mhz G3 card in it and
about 650mb RAM.

Hope someone has some good ideas.

Thanks

Simon
