I've had my problems with "Mail" as well. Some of the same symptoms 
you're describing. I figured that it's got a few kinks to work out- and 
hopefully they've sorted it in 10.2.
I just had problems deleting messages on my server, and had to get 
Entourage to do it...
Anyone else ?
