I've just been given a PowerCenterPro 210 system in perfect working order. It, however, has not had any upgrades made to it and is still running the original 604e processor and the 2 gig hard drive. I've just added more ram and am installing 9.1 on it as I type.
Since I've obtained this computer for free perhaps it's worth considering a G3-G4 processor upgrade and a PCI IDE controller card so I can add a bigger IDE hard drive. So, I'm asking any of the experts among us (and there are quite a few) where might be a good place to look for a used processor upgrade card. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but if there is a hands down favorite, please suggest where I should shop. Perhaps I should consider removing this MaxPowr G3 500 from my present system (PowerTowerPro 225) and putting it in the PowerCenter. I would then be in the market for a G4 upgrade for this one. Any ideas as to what I could do are welcome. I respect you guys opinions and look forward to hearing what you suggest. Like I said, it was completely free so this is why I'm considering the upgrades.
