In attempting to discover why my CD-R isn't working, I started X in verbose mode. I don't know any X or FreeBSD stuff, so my knowledge is limited, but there are FreeBSD drivers available for my CD-R, although they'd need to be compiled into the kernal, which is probably beyond me. In verbose, several things fail to load. Since I don't know how to print or save the verbose readout, here's some of the things I noticed. Exact titles may be slightly wrong, but the order is correct:
patchedNDRVsupport cannot load curioSCSIcontroller is duplicate (perhaps for two buses in my 7500?) oldworld.support.patched.IOSCSIcddrive file cannot be found oldworld.support.patched.IOSCSIcddrive kernal cannot be loaded Can someone tell me how to save the verbose dialogue? I'm hoping that correcting these problems might fix the CD-R? Thanks! Kris Tilford ALSO: For those have SCSI chain problems, I saw a newsgroup posting that seemed extra helpful. It may cause you to reshuffle you ID #'s & physical order, especially for CD-R's. http://groups.google.com/groups?q=SCSI+group:comp.sys.mac.system&start=10&hl=e n&lr=&ie=UTF-8&selm=1eunr5f.lo2wcx127vcqyN%40usr2712-cro.cableinet.co.uk&rnum= 15 -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
