I have Quartz Extreme enabled with my Radeon for Mac (the first one
out) and have no problems. Freeing up the CPU/system (in my case a
450MHz G4 7300) from most of the graphic overhead gives me extra
response from apps. The graphics are pretty smooth and there is a real
noticeable difference in the GUI. I can't speak for the Radeon 7000
users using Quartz Extreme but benchmarks show that the Radeon for Mac
is a little faster with 3D scores (Quartz Extreme maps things in 2D and
3D) than the 7000.

It has been said that using Quartz Extreme with a PCI graphics card
will slow your other PCI cards responses (USB, etc.) but I haven't
noticed anything on my system.
