Well, I tried 2.2.2 and could install Jaguar on my machine, but it still hangs with a kernel panic at reboot-time.
I even tried 2.2.b16, which would also allow me to install JAguar, but fails upon rebbot with the following errors: "Cant get dependencies for kernel extensions oldworld.support.PatchedSCSIDeviceType05" and "IOCatalogue oldworld.support.PatchedSCSIDEviceType05 cannot be loaded" Well, at least this is not a kernel panic anymore -- sigh -- What makes me wonder - I do see messages like this when booting 10.1.5, but it is working without any problems. 10.2 just hangs there (well, actually I restarted my S900 after staring 30 minutes at this screen, this should qualify as 'hanging'). BTW: My configuration is a S900, 192 MB, radeon7000 Mac, 100 GB WD Drive at a Acard 6260 M, a Firewire Card (Adaptec) and some USB-Card. Even tried installing without them...changed RAM...any comment is highly appreciated. Karsten > I've got this problem figured out--it is a problem with my custom > version of BootX in version 2.2.3.
