Hello all! I'm pleased to report that Jaguar is running quite happily & stably on the 8500 here with only a few unexplainable crashes (such as Stufit Expander every time it quits (though after the file is decompressed), and then the Dock itself once and NS once).
I remember reading in MacWorld a while back, when I had no plans at all to move to X on this machine, a review for a program of some sort that brought pop-up folders from the bottom of the screen to OSX. Does anyone know what this is and/or where to find it? Last time I looked (via the FTP command at the Terminal) it started to download the entirety of AMUG and I had to cancel the connection! Or is there a way, via the system or another program, to restore the Function-key launches from the Keyboard control panel? I miss being able to hit F1 and have iTunes launch. Has anyone any suggestions? Or am I looking in the wrong place?
