Ryan doesn't always get to every question on the forums. I doubt it
is a full time paid job for him. It is way better then nothing not to
say anything about the free software which saves everyone using it the
price of a new Mac. Yes , it could be better but one guy doesn't have
all the answers and it is very cheap.
It is a good idea to update to the latest XPF if you are having any
issues/ bugs etc. If all is well then might as well leave well enough
alone.
Verbose means wordy. Which is just what this does it gives you a read
out as to what is loading as OSX starts up. This can be helpful if you
are having problems you will know what loaded when the error occurred.
It also will sometimes load and take care of some issues that the
regular startup doesn't. Sometimes things not working well can also be
fixed by doing a new install. If you just do a regular install over
what you have it just fixes the problems and leaves you settings etc
intact. However if you have upgraded to OS 10.2.1 or the new 10.2.2
that no longer works unless you have a full install CD of that OS.
