Hi,

This is a bit of a weird one...

I have had 10.2.2 running on my 7500 today. I could only get the
installer to run with an old Twin Turbo card installed. One I was up
and running I replaced the card with an ATI 16mb card from a Blue and
White. 10.2.2 ran very poorly, probably worse than with the TT card
installed.

I then reset the motherboard and the PRam and ran Techtool over the
disk. Various things were fixed.

When I now boot, everything is normal, I get the splash-screen,
progress bar etc, then I get the background to my desktop but then the
boot process stops. I don't get the Finder or the dock at all, just an
empty desktop. Mouse still works.

Putting the TT card back in exhibits the same behavior.

Can anyone help me past this? I'm using XPF 2.2.4 and reinstalling
extensions and bootx each time.

Thanks

Simon
