I recently upgraded my 8500 system with XLR8 CarrierZIF,
450MHz-G4, 448 Meg RAM, ATI Radeon 7000 video, 37GB SCSI HD, & OS X
10.2.2 via XPostFactO v. 2.2.4. It works well, but I am using an old
Apple Keyboard II and would like to use a larger ADB keyboard with
function keys, esc, etc. I have tried 2 such keyboards with bad
results. Each time I've tried one, the OS X desktop opens with the
cursor locked in the upper left corner and the system is totally
locked. I have to use the power switch on CPU to turn it off. The
keyboard LEDs for CAPs lock, etc. do not light up.
Does this sound like a hardware problem in the 8500 or is
there a software/firmware solution?

                                        Thanks,
                                                Doug
