I was very VERY interested there for a minute, because MacOS 8.6 (and 8.5) are PowerPC only, so any hack to get 'em to run on a 68040 would be a mighty hack indeed, with much Slack. But it's for a machine with a PPC601 board in, so it's not so mighty after all.
