my apologies. i should've looked it up first.

i did a little research:

it has a 603e by default and is able to be upgraded through the cache 
slot.  i have no idea about X compatibility w/cache slot upgrades. i 
assume that the software (sonnet's and ryan's) is only made to work 
with comps with the same CPU slot. i could be wrong though.
