I am trying to reinstall OSX on my system 7500 Sonnet G4 700 60Gb IDE HDD on a ACard Raid 66 controller ATI Radeon Mac edition video card Opti 2usb port card 1Gb Ram Standard CDRom that came with the machine.
I have had Jag working on this system fine until an update went wrong. I have erased the drive and reinstalled Jag after a few errors. Then I updated to 10.2.3 and it just wouldnt boot after that. I now have reerased the drive and cannot get through the install. It gets up to preparing additional applications and then stops with an error. Looking at the log it says it cannot write a file. The drive has errors on it after rebooting into OS9.2.2 or 9.1. I have tried fixing the errors but the same still applies. I have even tried another copy of 10.2 but the same happens. I know OSX works on this machine but this is just driving me barny. Any help appreciated as I am starting to wonder if I have to reformat the drive.
