While I have a similar problem with my 8500 and 10.2.3, I don't think
it is an XPF bug. On both my Beige G3 and PowerBook G3 I have
problems where the OS X boot partition will get corrupted and not
mount when I boot into OS 9.2.2.

I don't know, but I think desktop printing is not supported in
Classic, since Classic no longer controls the desktop.
