try putting duality back on there and reverting to default again.

then try a 10.2.3 specific theme. they changed some frameworks around 
in 10.2.3 that had an effect on the 'chrome' widgets. this problem is 
present in any cocoa app that has the brushed effect. so it has to be 
specific for 10.2.3.

so downgrade to the default OS X theme then pick another one.
