James, I am using the following in my S900 running Jaguar, with no problems:
IDE: ACARD AHARD ATA/66 dual-bus IDE controller ($50) FW: MacAlly 3-port PCI FireWire card ($15) USB: Belkin 2-port PCI USB 1.0 card (probably about $15-$20 now, I bought it a while ago) You should have no problems with cards like these.
